The Forum is a rental retirement community. Monthly fees for independent living residents include daily continental breakfast and choice of lunch or dinner in our gracious dining room. Apartments feature gracious living/dining rooms, large bedrooms, generous closets, kitchens, and options such as balconies, dens, sun rooms, and additional storage areas. Additionally, wonderful activities, amenities and services are included such as cable television, weekly housekeeping, an indoor parking garage, use of all community areas and all utilities included (except telephone).

 

Rental fees vary based on apartment floor plan and square footage. There is a one-time community fee that covers maintenance for all grounds and common areas – and is paid only once no matter how long a resident lives at The Forum.

The gracious and varied community areas provide a comfortable environment for the residents and their families to enjoy. All apartments are private and there era many floor plans to choose from. Each apartment suite features large windows, mini-blinds, wall-to-wall carpeting, and a private bathroom. Residents furnish their own apartments, or we can arrange for furnishings at additional cost. The beautiful dining room provides residents with three nutritious meals daily and is served restaurant style and offers many choices. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.

 

Again emphasizing wellness, dignity, security, and comfort, three levels of care area offered at The Forum at Memorial Woods, with an individualized care plan for each resident. In this way we are able to provide as much or as little assistance as each resident needs to maintain his or her independences and quality of life.

 

Prices in assisted living are determined by the floor plan chosen and the level of care each resident requires. An assessment will be done prior to move in by our nurse to determine the appropriate level of care.

Both long term healthcare and skilled nursing services are available at The Forum at Memorial Woods. Our highly trained in-house rehabilitation department specializes in the particular needs and intricacies of senior café. Our activity director provides social and special events programs for our healthcare residents. Our social services and care team assist families in planning for the long-range needs of their family member.

The Gardens, our memory support neighborhood at The Forum at Memorial Woods, offers a warm, homelike setting which is thoughtfully designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders.

We’re excited to offer the Alzheimer’s and Memory Care program, “Revelations, Celebrating Life Through Rediscovery.”  Through this program, residents are encouraged to engage with their surroundings and rediscover the joy in everyday life. Based on the Montessori-style approach to education, the program uses a variety of activities to help create a sense of accomplishment for residents with the skills and abilities they currently have – and even assist them with relearning a portion of the skills they have lost.

It helps provide an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding, gives our residents activities with clear objectives that are meaningful to him or her, encourages families to learn and become part their loved one’s life at The Forum at Memorial Woods, and enables individuals to interact positively within their environment to reach their highest potential.

We offer lovely private and semi-private suites for our Alzheimer's Care residents, with large windows, carpeting, and a spacious bathroom and shower. Our tastefully decorated common spaces have been designed to be both welcoming and familiar. They include cues to assist residents with orientation and comfortable environments for activities and family gatherings.

 

Families are encouraged to furnish their loved one’s rooms with treasured pictures and furnishings that are familiar. This helps foster the feelings of home and security residents with memory loss require.  Respecting each resident’s individuality – their abilities, special interests, and familiar routines – is a key component of what we do. Recognizing the uniqueness of each resident lets us create an individualized wellness plan that provides just the right amount of support needed. This helps us provide an enriched quality of life and maintain the dignity of each resident, while providing reassurance to their families as well.
